Hydradet's technology is driven by the latest ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) implementation of our detonators. This has removed an astounding number of limitations previously governing EDD accuracy, reliability and capabilities.

Apart from being the first truly international collaboration in this field, HydraDet offers top of the range specifications for our EDDs such as an 8km firing distance, the ability to safely fire up to 10000 detonators in an underground environment, at the price of low entry level microprocessor based EDDs. Some of the major benefits introduced through this innovation include data collection, storage and traceability, dual voltage, and 0.01 % accuracy over the full 30 second timing range. Functionality which usually comes with a much higher price tag. This is what makes HydraDet an affordable industry 4.0 leader.

Our initiation systems have been developed on a robust and scalable system, with a proven record for safety and reliability, utilized in deep level mining environments for over 30 years. Our surface blasting system is a unique meshable blasting solution which uses the latest in mobile communication technologies, offering flexibility and simplicity to the experience.

Despite our full service offering, the true disruptive power of HydraDet is that we are making all of our components available to anyone to integrate into their own solutions. For example, our logging systems can be integrated into systems using most current EDD technologies, or our EDD board can be made available to replace older more expensive EDD components.
